The Diocesan Secretaries drawn from the eight Catholic Dioceses in Malawi have been meeting at Catholic Secretariat’s Episcopal Conference of Malawi board room to deliberate on several issues that are currently affecting Malawians.
The issues under deliberation range from the Social,Political and Economic aspects of Malawians’ life.
According to CCJP’s National Secretary,Chris Chisoni the Church can not just seat by and watch at some of the challenges Malawians are facing now hence the need for the Church to speak out with one voice over these issues.
Chisoni said it is high time that the Church spoke on the issues with an uniformed voice since nothing has come out from the Church for a long time while Malawians suffer.
And as a way forward to the resolutions made during the Diocesan Secretaries meeting,a Press briefing has been arranged this afternoon, where members of the media will be briefed on the stand of the Church on issues affecting Malawians.
