The Catholic Secretariat of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi regrets to announce the death of Monsignor Charles Maida, a priest of the Archdiocese of Lilongwe. Monsignor Maida passed on yesterday, Wednesday 1st August, 2012 at Mtengowanthenga Mission Hospital.
Msgr. Maida was born in 1923 and hailed from Mdzinga Village, T/A Tambala, Chiphwanya, Parish in Dedza. He was ordained priest in August, 1956 and served the Church as a priest in many places for 56 years.
Burial Mass will be on Friday, 3rd August, 2012 at Likuni Parish starting from 10:00 am.
