Right Rev. Alfred Chaima of the Diocese of Zomba had an audience with the CWO Diocesan Executive Leaders at his office, on Wednesday the 13th September 2023. This is at the start of the CWO Diocesan Annual General meeting which is being held at St Peter’s Major Seminary from the 13th September until Sunday, September 17th, 2023
At this audience, the CWO Leaders took the opportunity to officially welcome His Lordship bishop Chaima to Zomba and pledged to work with him. They also wished success in his office and ministry. The CWO Leaders then briefed the Bishop of the activities they have undertaken this year and those they have planned to undertake in the remaining period of time before the year ends. Among the projects presented are the incoming generating activities that CWO has and is planning to have in the Diocese.
In his remarks, Right Rev commended the CWO Leaders for what they are doing in the Church from the grassroots level to the Diocesan level. He encouraged them to intensify their prayer life and urged them to pray even in their families for their own needs and the needs of the entire Church and nation. He then encouraged them to promote love amongst and to actively preach by their own lives by being exemplary. Bishop Chaima then asked the leaders to continue strengthening CWO especially now that it has clocked 50 years since its inception in Malawi. He asked them to continue supporting the Church and look after priests and Religious properly in their Parishes.
