Death Announcement of Fr. Charles Joseph Changa Banda

The Catholic Secretariat of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi regrets to announce the death of Fr. Charles Joseph Changa Banda, a priest of the Diocese of Mzuzu. Fr. Changa Banda passed away this morning, 15th July 2012, at Nkhamenya Hospital.

Fr. Changa Banda was born on 5th May, 1959 and hailed from Zamani Village, Ehehleni, Mzimba. He was ordained priest on 5th August, 1989 at St. Peter’s Cathedral and has served in the following places: St. John’s Parish in Mzambazi, St. Thereza Parish in Katete, St. Steven’s in Karonga, St. Paul’s in Mzimba, Diocesan Pastoral Secretary, St. Augustine’s Luwinga, St. Peter’s Cathedral, St. Michael’s in Chitipa and his last place of service was Nkhamenya (Holy Cross Parish) as a curate.

Burial Mass will be on Monday, 16th July, 2012 at St. Peter’s Cathedral – Mzuzu starting from 10:00 am.
